OH MY GOD I WANT THIS
The Portal Two (Portal 2 cocktails)
Ingredients:
Blue Curacao
Vodka
Lemonade
Cointreau
Rum
Orangina
Small tumblersDirections: “This drink is, of course, designed to resemble the two coloured portals from the excellent sci-fi puzzle game. For the blue version, get a small tumbler and pour in 10ml of Blue Curacao, 10ml of vodka and top up with lemonade. For orange you’ll need another tumbler, this time filled with 10ml of Cointreau, 10ml of rum and Orangina. If you fancy, you can jazz the glasses up with coloured sugar rims. Simply pour some sugar into a sandwich bag with the relevant food colouring, shake them up, pour the resulting mix into a dish and dip your tumbler in. “You can mix the portals together if you like,” says James. “It’s a very orangey flavour, which we thought tied in with The Orange Box, the compilation in which the original Portal appeared.”

Canon had a Hollywood red carpet event last night. Why? Because they’ve announced two new EOS “movie DSLRs”: the C300 cinema camera and a prototype for a full-frame sensor, 4K resolution, 24fps movie camera.

A Virtual Keyboard for iPad & iPhone
We live in the future. No, seriously, we do. This laser virtual keyboard ($170) is proof of it. It syncs with your iPad or iPhone over bluetooth so that you can type on any surface. Check out the video of it in action.
You can even choose to have simulated keyboard sounds, just in case silent typing isn’t your thing. Can you imagine full school classes or workplaces where everyone is typing on lasers? So crazy. The size of the cube laser device is just a bit larger than a matchbook and the battery lasts for 2.5 hrs.
I think I might have found the coolest gadget for the holidays. These things will probably sell like hot cakes - I’d snag one early if you’re as excited about it as I am.
I saw something like this in a convention in Japan once, but instead of a cube, it was a tube with dual projectors: one for the virtual keyboard and the other being a hologram-like monitor. It really does exist and it’s CRAZY.
